The Umkomaas Bowling club was established in 1923 and boasts two excellent greens, as well as a large Club House. Bill Forte took on the major task of laying the first green. A number of years later his son Eddie was responsible for getting the North green established, and now Bill’s grandson, Rod, is our green’s supervisor.

The Bowling Club is situated adjacent to the Umkomaas Golf Course, home club of two international golf superstars, Tim Clarke and Garth Mulroy.

Umkomaas is also a dive mecca with one of the worlds top diving spots, Aliwal Shoal, right on our doorstep.

Umkomaas Bowling Club has been host to many international bowling tour groups and looks forward to welcoming many more visitors.
