 COSTA DEL SOL - SPAIN

The Costa del Sol covers almost 300 kilometres of coastline, stretching from Gibraltar in the west to Almunecar in the east. Being one of the most popular tourist destinations, there is much to see & do here. Torremolinos was the very first resort and the character of the town remains with its quaint cobbled streets & the long promenade leading to the town of Benalmadena, which boasts its own Marina, a fabulous market, the chance to see for miles with a trip up the mountains by cable car & witness an amazing bird of prey display. Further up the coast is the town of Fuengirola, which has remained unchanged for many years, which has many bars, restaurants & shops to browse along the main promeade & further in to the town’s tiny streets with a surprise around every corner! Nestled high in the mountainside is the picturesque whitewashed village of Mijas, famed for its donkey taxis & tiny chapel, Mijas is a definate must see!  The Costa del Sol has much to offer any traveller, and especially suits bowlers due to the warm climate, 9 bowling clubs with friendly members help to make the Costa del Sol a firm favourite!
